About

Founded in 1989, The Cypress Dome is the University of Central Florida’s undergraduate literary journal. It is edited, designed, and produced by a selected editorial team of students from our literary organization, The Cypress Dome Society, as part of a year-long internship.

Named after a natural feature of the UCF campus, The Cypress Dome is dedicated to fostering the literary arts and promoting a sense of community among writers and artists. We are open to submissions of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, flash, graphic narratives, and visual art from undergraduate students at UCF and those across the country.

Submissions may be submitted in the fall semester through Submittable, according to submission guidelines distributed each fall, to be considered for publication in the annual issue published each spring. Please check our submission guidelines and our submission FAQ before submitting.

At the end of each spring, we host our annual Launch Party to celebrate the journal, our staff, its contributors, and a featured guest speaker. We hope to see you there!
