A popular Orlando-based organization app for students plans to relaunch at University of Central Florida with a new feature.
Schoolflow, a mobile app that helps students automatically organize their school assignments, now is licensed to feature UCF’s remote collaboration tool – software that broadcasts an instructor’s lecture with interactive notes. Schoolflow licensed the patented technology in exchange for UCF having a percentage stake in the company. The tool will give students a chance to view interactive lectures from various locations such as their dorm room.
The startup plans to launch the app at UCF this month, around the time the fall semester begins.
Dr. Philip Peters, who is a professor in the School of Visual Arts & Design, is one of researchers of the patent.
