Four University of Central Florida College of Arts & Humanities faculty members were inducted into the prestigious UCF Scroll & Quill Society.
James Clark, associate lecturer of the Department of History, Michael Strawser, chair of the Department of Philosophy, Julia Listengarten, Theatre UCF’s artistic director and coordinator of graduate studies, and Ayako Yonetani, professor in the Department of Music, were all recognized for their outstanding scholarly achievements in research or creative activities.
The Scroll & Quill Society’s focus is on recognizing faculty members who have demonstrated sustained scholarly contributions over a period of at least ten years at UCF. These faculty members have brought positive national and/or international attention to UCF through their work, which in-turn supports UCF’s collective impact.
“I’ve often said that people make a university great. And that’s especially true for UCF. We have outstanding faculty and staff members who are dedicated to lifting the lives and livelihoods of our students, conducting cutting-edge research and making a difference in our community and across the globe,” said A. Dale Whittaker, UCF provost and executive vice president of academic affairs.
