A conference, “The Socially Extended Mind,” focusing on Philosophy Professor Shaun Gallagher’s research on embodied social cognition and its relation to critical theory is scheduled to take place at the Free University in Berlin on March 21-22, 2011, sponsored by the Working Group on Languages of Emotion in Philosophy of Mind & Cognition. Professor Gallagher will open the conference with a keynote presentation on the socially extended mind. Philosophers from both the United States and Europe will participate.
