Reagan Smith, a history adjunct professor, is offering College of Arts and Humanities faculty members an opportunity to be on his radio show, “Florida Roundtable.”
Smith has been the host and producer of iHeart Media’s “Florida Roundtable” for over 30 years, and he wants to help raise recognition of departments in UCF’s arts and humanities by having faculty members as guests on the show. The program covers many issues such as North Korea, Venezuela/Latin America, Florida and national politics, Asian issues, European issues and history.
The one-hour program airs on over 100 Florida radio stations every Saturday and Sunday and reaches an estimated five million people a week. The show originates in the Florida News Network studios of iHeart Media in Maitland. Interviews are pre-recorded at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday mornings and can be held in person or over the phone. Each show is usually booked a month in advance.
