Recent graduate Sara Parsons ’23 has made an impact in and out of the classroom while overcoming health challenges in the process.

SVAD celebrates the achievements of faculty, alumni and students. Join us in recognizing them for their efforts within the art field this winter.

72-year-old SVAD student Jayne Alcorn first began her educational journey at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 1978. This week, 44 years later, she is graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Studio Art.  

12 UCF Daytona Beach B.S. in Photography Alumni will display their work in the John C. Hitt Library Gallery.

Theatre student Cory Kennedy Barrow placed in the top three at UCF’s annual Three Minute These (3MT) competition.

UCF’s Art Knight! will be held on Friday, November 17. The annual event, hosted by the School of Visual Arts and Design (SVAD), is an open house for the community to tour studio spaces and classrooms, see current student projects and interact with art students and faculty.

“A colorful array of artwork created by faculty was on display for students to view on Oct. 19. At the Faculty Exhibition in the Visual Arts building faculty members, who are recognized in the national and international sphere, showcased their work to the UCF community. The exhibition ends on Nov. 3.”

The honor is designed to recognize some of UCF’s brightest stars who shine a positive light on UCF and in their respective fields.

As part of the UCF Libraries’ extensive collection, students taking Medieval Art can review exact copies of the manuscripts they study in class.
