This course is about more than appreciating artwork — it sheds light on untold stories and the history of America.

The Healing Art Exhibition is designed to generate awareness about counseling and psychological services available at UCF, raise campus-wide inclusivity and promote the influence of the healing power of creativity.

Artist Hiwa K brings multidisciplinary work to explore ongoing global political issues such as immigration, colonialism, and war.

The fifth-annual festival held at downtown Orlando’s Dr. Phillips Center will underscore the resilience of humans and the healing power of art.

Students at Lake Highland Preparatory School learned from UCF School of Visual Arts and Design and Nicholson School of Communication and Media faculty to create mixed media optical art pieces for Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Educational Center, City of Orlando – Government and Orlando City Soccer Club. Each year, the students gained exposure to a variety of genres and media through their philanthropic experiences.

Beginning November 15, Praxis, the fall 2018 bi-annual exhibition showcased work by graduating students studying book arts, ceramics, drawing, experimental animation, illustration, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture and allowed them to display their research and specialized artistic practice. The exhibition was on display from November 15 through December 6, 2018 at the UCF Art Gallery.

Matt Dombrowski of the School of Visual Arts and Design is the fourth faculty member from CAH to win the peer-reviewed Chuck D. Dziuban Award for Excellence in Online Teaching.
