This year’s community art showcase takes place April 7 – 19, with tickets on sale March 2, and includes pieces that honor the late feminist art movement pioneer.

UCF students in acting, animation and film get the chance to collaborate and create while preparing for the future of entertainment.

Interdisciplinary artist Mär Martinez followed her muse to a big win at this year’s FusionFest multicultural festival, receiving the $1,000 grand prize in the event’s Visual Art competition.

Two collaborative projects have been announced as the 2019 winners of the Pabst Steinmetz Foundation Arts & Wellness Innovation Awards. The winning initiatives are “Creative Approaches to Combat HIV Stigma and Discrimination from Health Providers” and “Project Xavier Hands-free Training Game.”

Two soon-to-be graduates of the BFA in Studio Art program, Titus Thomas and Rex Hammack, share their interesting stories along with their interesting art. The two students were recently part of the BFA exhibition Allegoria in the UCF Art Gallery.

Former longtime UCF faculty member Johann Eyfells passed away on Tuesday, December 3, at the age of 96. Eyfells was one of the founding faculty of what was formerly the art department of FTU and was a major influence on a generation of artists. He worked at UCF for 30 years before his retirement in 1999.

Dr. Ilenia Colón Mendoza was invited as an expert in her field by the Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts at the National Gallery of Art to give a presentation on her research entitled “Berruguete’s Legacy: The Place of Polychrome Sculpture in the Hierarchy of Arts in Spain.”
