UCF’s Limbitless Solutions celebrates the anniversary of the first bionic arm delivery. UCF’s School of Visual Arts and Design has been a collaborative partner since the beginning with student internships and faculty leadership from SVAD.

The UCF Art Gallery and Rollins Museum of Art come together for “Pathways 2022: The Carlos Malamud Prize” to highlight six aspiring artists. Artworks by all finalists will be shown at both venues until Sept. 4, 2022.

The faculty members will engage in cutting-edge research and expand their professional networks internationally, which may help UCF develop future partnerships institutions abroad.

UCF awarded 22 faculty in the arts and humanities promotion and tenure. Consideration for promotion and tenure takes nearly an entire academic year as faculty are evaluated on three main areas: research, teaching and service.

The annual CAH staff awards recognize employees who have delivered exemplary service to the college and UCF. At the ceremony, college administration recognized staff members for their dedication to UCF and acknowledged the challenging year the employees faced.

Darlene Hadrika and Scott F. Hall, longtime faculty members in the School of Visual Arts and Design, will retire this semester.

Associate Dean Lynn Hepner ’95MA is retiring from UCF on August 7. Her ability to anticipate the needs of the college and to provide the right data at the right time has made her invaluable to CAH.

UCF Celebrates the Arts 2022 featured an incredible variety of creative talent, in events ranging from Shrek to sculptures, cooking to choirs, and oceans to opera.

“I never thought I’d be an artist, but I drew all the time…” says Robert Rivers, professor of studio art at UCF’s School of Visual Arts and Design.

Limbitless Solutions is partnering with children’s hospitals to research the effect bionic prosthetics devices on young patients’ brains.
