Several of UCF’s students, alumni and faculty members have been nominated for Orlando Sentinel’s “Orlando Theater Best of 2022” for their work and performances in various shows.

The UCF choir recently joined the Jones High School Alumni and Community Choir and the Orlando Choral Society to participate in this 50-year tradition.

Ring in the most wonderful time of the year with a variety of holiday songs for the whole family, featuring UCF’s choir and orchestra ensembles performing at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m.

The winners of the 2021 awards accomplished great things with the $25,000 awards. This year, applicants are invited to submit proposals through Dec. 16 for projects that strengthen our sense of community through arts and wellness.

The UCF campus will be closed for operations on Wednesday and Thursday due to Tropical Storm Nicole, and Friday for Veterans Day. All public events scheduled for those days will be canceled or rescheduled.

Walter Gaudnek was as colorful and bold as the art he created. Theatrical designer Joseph Rusnock was remembered as caring and creative. Both men are being mourned at the University of Central Florida, where they were fixtures for generations of students in artistic fields of study.
