The UCF campus will be closed for operations on Wednesday and Thursday due to Tropical Storm Nicole, and Friday for Veterans Day. All public events scheduled for those days will be canceled or rescheduled.

Recent graduate Virginia Perwin ’22MA has been named a Wesh 2 CommUNITY Champion for her devotion to learning and teaching others.

Haidar Khezri, an Kurdish-born scholar and assistant professor of Middle Eastern studies at UCF, shares insight into the unrest in Iran following the death of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini, a 22-year-old woman who was arrested for improperly wearing her hijab.

Associate professor Alla Kourova has received a new grant to expand UCF’s STARTALK Intensive Russian Language program. The hybrid program lasts four semesters, including a residential summer camp, and will be free to high school seniors and college freshmen located anywhere in the United States.
