The UCF College of Arts and Humanities announces the appointment of  Dr. Brian Craig Miller as professor and chair of the Department of History, effective August 8, 2024. Miller brings years of experience and a passion for teaching, research and service to the role. 

The Veterans Legacy Program at UCF is dedicated to honoring and sharing the untold stories of veterans, preserving their experiences for future generations.

The UCF Veterans Legacy Program is continuing its important work of memorializing veterans with the second annual UCF VLP Institute.

A look back on the 10th annual UCF Celebrates the Arts, which included concerts, lectures, interactive visual art displays, kid-friendly events and more.

The UCF College of Arts and Humanities’ annual staff awards recognize employees who have delivered exemplary service to their department, the university and the community.

Faculty, staff and students from the College of Arts and Humanities were recognized at UCF’s Founders Day on April 3.

Although the existence of 100-point-game trutherism feels too ridiculous to contemplate, it’s worth discussing because it originates in a kind of presentism—applying today’s attitudes, assumptions, and expectations to the past—that is all too common in other areas of our public discourse.

This year’s Faculty Authors’ celebration recognized faculty from across eight colleges, the library and the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning, with 19 of the 53 awards belonging to Arts and Humanities faculty.

Dr. Bowen will provide leadership for developing and implementing policies and practices for undergraduate students at the University of Center Florida (UCF) and in the college.

Offered through the Africana Studies program, “History of the Caribbean” teaches students of all disciplines the big significance of a relatively small region.
