“The Committee,” an Emmy award-winning documentary created by history professor Robert Cassanello and film professor Lisa Mills, dives into the lives of victims of the Johns Committee, which was initially formed by Senator Charley Johns in 1956 to remove communism in Florida.
Kenneth Hanson, professor and program director of Judaic Studies, was invested into the Tess and Abe Wise Endowed Professorship in Judaic Studies. The endowed faculty position recognizes Hanson’s accomplishments and will allow him to advance his work and research.
