The Healing Art Exhibition is designed to generate awareness about counseling and psychological services available at UCF, raise campus-wide inclusivity and promote the influence of the healing power of creativity.
Plotkin, a universally recognized opera expert, travels the world teaching audiences about opera. On Tuesday, February 12, 2019, he will speak in room 117 of the UCF Teaching Academy as the part of the 10th Neil R. Euliano Professorship Lecture Series. Plotkin’s lecture is called “Why Is Opera So Popular?” and is free to attend.
UCF Lecturer Mark Fagiano has won the highly competitive Robert Papazian Essay Competition. As the winner, he will receive a cash prize and have his winning entry as lead article in a special edition of the International Journal of Philosophical Studies on empathy.
Congratulations to the UCF Knights Saxophone Quartet on winning the southern division of the MTNA Chamber Music Competition! Jade Deatherage, Dylan Hannan, Noah Mosca and Najee Lee will be the first UCF students to advance to the finals of the MTNA competitions, which will be held in Spokane, Washington on March 15-17, 2019.
UCF Professor of History Dr. Luis Martínez-Fernández has been appointed to the board of the National Council for History Education (NCHE). Since 1990, the NCHE has worked to promote excellence in K-12 and college-level history education.
