UCF history professors have published a wide variety of work in the past several months

Associate professor and coordinator of music education Kelly A. Miller was named the Florida Music Education Association’s 2022 College Music Educator of the Year.

The exhibition commemorates the 30th anniversary of Flying Horse Editions, a collaborative research studio for printmaking and visual arts at UCF.

Seventy years ago this week, Harry and Harriette Moore were assassinated when a bomb hidden under their house was detonated. The bombing demonstrates how Florida played a significant role in Black Americans’ fight for civil rights — more so than is often acknowledged.

The opera, which is based on a story of Central Floridians during the Great Depression, will show at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts Dec. 17-19.
