UCF Celebrates the Arts 2023 welcomed audiences of all ages, abilities and interests with more events than ever before.

UCF Celebrates the Arts was awarded by the Downtown Orlando Partnership in the category of Arts & Culture on May 2, recognizing the festival’s economic and community impact on downtown Orlando.

Pegasus PlayLab offers a creative space for audiences to influence the development of plays by emerging playwrights through workshopped pieces and one fully staged production. This year’s festival also includes a devised piece, Building a Shared Home, giving opportunities for students with and without intellectual disabilities to participate.

The nearly $5 million project will facilitate human subjects research to improve extended reality technologies for the general population and make them more inclusive to groups such as older adults or people with disabilities.

Njeri Kinuthia is the winner of the 2023 éclat Law Prize. The prize entails of an exhibition of the student’s work at éclat Law Firm and an award of $5,000.

In celebration of Italian Design Day, Italian Studies Program Director Chiara Mazzucchelli presented the activities of UCF’s Italian program to the Ambassador of Italy to the United States, the Consul General of Italy in Miami and a crowd of entrepreneurs and representatives of the Italian community.

Audience members jumped with excitement as fantasy creatures leaped from the screen during the “Terrific Beasts and Mystical Creatures” concert.
