Dr. Dana Chandler, Archivist and Associate Professor at Tuskegee University, gave a compelling talk on March 6 at UCF about the work he has done with the rich but poorly-preserved archival collection at Tuskegee. They have done amazing work in the past 10 years both in preserving priceless sources of African American history and in digitizing a portion of their extensive collection.
His visit, co-sponsored by History, Texts and Technology and the Center for Humanities and Digital Research, had many motivations– including creating opportunities for our students at Tuskegee and recruiting students from Tuskegee for our MA and PhD programs.
