The Enna chapter of the Kiwanis Club, an international organization dedicated to the education and well-being of children worldwide, recognized Associate Professor Chiara Mazzucchelli, Ph.D., for her outstanding contributions to the field of Italian Studies and her career in education.
Earlier this summer, at a ceremony hosted by the Italian Chapter of the Kiwanis Club, Mazzucchelli was presented with the Kiwanis Euno Award in recognition of her dedication to helping students learn, a commitment that aligns with the club’s own mission.
Mazzucchelli is the Neil Euliano Chair of Italian Studies at UCF. In this role, she has helped develop plans to advance the Italian Program at UCF and bring more cultural awareness for students and faculty. Later this month, Mazzucchelli will be hosting Italian director, producer and actor Daphne di Cinto at UCF to discuss her short film Il Moro-The Moor.
The Kiwanis Club ceremony also provided a full-circle moment for Mazzucchelli: when she was in high school, the Kiwanis Club honored her with her very first recognition, the Alfiere certificate. This summer, she had the privilege of presenting high school students with the same certificate she herself once received.
