Belinda Boyd, associate professor and coordinator of the BFA Acting program at UCF, has been selected as the 2026 recipient of the Uta Hagen Award given by the College of Fellows of the American Theatre through the American College Theatre Festival.
The award consists of a free Hagen Teacher’s Lab in New York and includes a stipend for travel and accommodations.
Hagen Teacher’s Lab is an intensive five-day program designed to serve professional teachers and actors who want to expand their understanding of Uta Hagen’s method. Hagen was a renowned American actress and acting teacher who believed that acting is craft that can be practiced, questioned, improved, and refined through a disciplined approach.
