NEA Big Read at UCF • March 15 – April 15, 2019

NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts designed to revitalize the role of literature in American culture and to encourage citizens to read for pleasure and enlightenment.

A program of the National Endowment for the Arts, the NEA Big Read broadens our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book. UCF is one of 79 participating communities. The NEA Big Read at UCF is presented in partnership with Seminole County Public Library.

The Big Read at UCF will celebrate Station Eleven, by Emily St. John Mandel. UCF will host a series of events, including a keynote lecture, an art exhibition, a theatrical production, book discussions, and a showcase of visual and performing arts at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

In 2019, the Big Read at UCF will focus on Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel.

Kicking off in March, this community reading program will connect literature with the visual and performing arts.
