UCF Organizations
Equal @UCF
Equal @UCF is a registered student organization at the main campus of the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. Their mission is to provide a safe environment for students to interact and network with each other, engage in social activities, and develop personal character without fear of discrimination on the basis of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression, and to provide support and resources for students who have experienced such discrimination.
LGBTQ Services
The mission of Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Questioning/Queer (LGBTQ) Services is to connect UCF’s diverse student population to opportunities, resources, and each other to achieve the vision of a stronger, healthier, and more equitable world for LGBTQ people and its allies.
National Organization for Women (NOW), UCF Chapter
The National Organization for Women is the largest organization of feminist activists in the United States with more than 550,000 contributing members. NOW at UCF works to provide a strong feminist presence and to impact their campus, their community and their country. They work towards educating the UCF community about social justice issues and oppression.
Political, economic, and social forces still combine to deprive women of safety from violence, fair and equal treatment in the workplace, access to reproductive healthcare and comprehensive sex education, and much more both in this country and abroad – so it’s crucial that young feminists take initiative to raise awareness about the persisting need for women’s rights activism, as well as lead the way in taking feminist action.

The Youth and Young Adult Network of the National Farm Worker Ministry – Orlando
The Youth and Young Adult Network of the National Farm Worker Ministry is a national network of young people actively working to change the oppressive social, political and economic conditions of farm workers. Inspired by the principles of nonviolence of the farm worker movement, YAYAs support a variety of national and local campaigns led by farm workers.
YAYAs organize and participate in a diverse array of activities, such as letter writing campaigns, peaceful marches, lobbying, awareness events, bicycle drives, soccer games, immersion trips, research projects, and immigration trainings. To do their work, they depend on a community of allies that includes student groups, unions, and organizations that work on issues such as immigration, labor rights, environmental justice, human rights, and gender equality.
