Who are Facilitators?

Facilitators have served as Big Sister mentors in the Young Women Leaders Program for several semesters before becoming school group Facilitators.

If you have been a Big Sister in YWLP for at least one semester, you are eligible to apply for a school group Facilitator position.

What are the expectations of Facilitators?

Facilitators work in pairs to facilitate the lessons at school group meetings and encourage Big Sister and Little Sister pairs to bond with one another while tackling personal dilemmas and new concepts about girls and leadership.

What is the Application Process?

Preference is usually given to Big Sisters who have been mentors for two or more semesters and who are available to participate as Facilitators for at least two consecutive semesters thereafter, however exceptions can and have been made.

Facilitator paper applications are available in Suite 118 in Colbourn Hall, or you may submit a Facilitator application in the provided form below.

All Facilitator applications are due to the Program Coordinator during the final week of the semester before one would begin Facilitator duties.
