Our writing consultants are trained to help writers with writing in their discipline, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>writing clear and direct statements<\/li>\n<li>incorporating discipline-specific language in their writing<\/li>\n<li>writing with the audience in mind<\/li>\n<li>learning when and how to use citations<\/li>\n<li>understanding how to evaluate sources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Healthcare Research &amp; Writing Lab is located in the University Writing Center in Trevor Colbourn Hall 109.<br \/>\nThe Lab is drop-in only \u2013 no appointments are necessary.<br \/>\nYou can also meet virtually, during the Lab\u2019s operating hours. Spanish-speaking consultants are available.<\/p>\n<p>The Lab\u2019s operating hours for Summer B 2024 are:<\/p>\n<p>Monday \u2013 Thursday: 4 PM \u2013 6 PM<\/p>\n<p>The Healthcare Research &amp; Writing Lab will be fully virtual during the first week of Summer B 2024 (June 24 through June 27). The Lab will hold in-person hours beginning on Monday, July 1.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ucf.zoom.us\/j\/97098873812\">The Zoom virtual meeting room<\/a>\u00a0is available during the Lab\u2019s operating hours.
