This interactive workshop invites students to explore how AI tools can support their writing process\u2014specifically during brainstorming, outlining, and editing\u2014while also helping them critically assess when and how to use these tools responsibly. Participants will experiment with prompt engineering, engage in discussions about the benefits and limitations of AI-assisted writing, and receive guidance on interpreting and adhering to course policies regarding AI use. Knights Write Tutor Panel Presentation<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

In this panel, tutors from the UCF University Writing Center will share perspectives shaped by their work with writers from a wide range of academic programs. The discussion will focus on practical strategies for approaching college writing projects with purpose and an eye toward professional growth. Panelists will consider how choices about topics and formats can transform course assignments into meaningful evidence of professional identity, which can be showcased in ePortfolios or highlighted in interviews. They will also examine the often-overlooked transferable -skills embedded in writing projects, including collaboration, research, and communication, which are highly valued by employers and graduate programs. Finally, the conversation will explore ways to extend the impact of course projects beyond the classroom through opportunities for publication and presentation. Attendees will leave with strategies for turning writing assignments into experiences that build confidence, demonstrate expertise, and support long-term academic and professional development.<\/span><\/p>\n
