Drs. Giroux and  Galbreath are both 2014 graduates of <a href=\"https:\/\/cah.ucf.edu\/textstech\/\">UCF&#8217;s Texts and Technology<\/a> doctoral  program.<\/p>\n<p>The National Endowment for the Humanities (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.neh.gov\/\">NEH<\/a>)  announced  six prize recipients of the Chronicling America Data Challenge on July 27.  This nationwide competition featured projects that incorporate digital humanities to explore and exhibit untold stories found in the Chronicling America database.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ag-news.net\/\">Historical  Agricultural News<\/a> is a search tool for exploring information on farming organizations, technologies, and practices of America&#8217;s past. The site describes farming as the window into communities, social and technological change, and concepts like progress, development, and modernity.<\/p>\n<p>Agricultural connections are of significance to those interested in various topics including immigration and assimilation, language use and communication, education and affiliations, and demographic transitions.<\/p>\n<p>Amy Giroux is a computer research specialist for UCF&#8217;s <a href=\"\">Center for  Humanities and Digital Research<\/a>, while Marcy Galbreath is a lecturer in the Department of Writing and Rhetoric.
