Approximately one third of T&T students receive university funding in the form of an assistantship or fellowship.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Assistantship and fellowship funding is awarded competitively to the top ranked students who indicate on their application for admission that they would like to be considered for funding. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

T&T Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs) or Graduate Research Assistants (GRAs) receive a salary of $20,000, a tuition waiver to cover full time enrollment, and student health insurance, in exchange for which they teach two courses in both the fall and spring semesters or perform equivalent work on research projects. Summer funding is guaranteed only for international students, but domestic students on assistantship who request a summer assistantship usually receive one. Summer assistantships receive a salary of $6,000, a tuition waiver to cover full time enrollment, and student health insurance. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fellowships do not carry a work requirement and include a tuition waiver to cover full time enrollment and student health insurance.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Students who have been awarded assistantships are assigned to our partner departments, programs, and centers, or to grant-funded projects. T&T students have recently worked on grants such as <\/span>ELLE: The EndLess LEarner language learning games project<\/span><\/a>, the <\/span>Veterans Legacy Program to create biographies of veterans buried in national cemeteries<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>People, Religion, Information Networks, and Travel (PRINT), which traces 17th and 18th century communication networks among European religious minorities<\/span><\/a>. T&T students also teach courses in English, Games and Interactive Media, History, and Writing and Rhetoric, depending on their research interests and the field of their MA degree. Other students work in the <\/span>Center for Humanities and Digital Research<\/span><\/a> supporting various research projects and journal publications.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Graduate assistantships and fellowships are available only to full-time students, and students may not hold a full-time job at the same time as an assistantship or fellowship. When a student is awarded an assistantship at admission, it will ordinarily continue for all four years of the regularly scheduled full-time program, provided that the student makes satisfactory academic progress and adequately fulfills the requirements of the assistantship.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Eligible students may also apply for <\/span>financial aid through UCF<\/span><\/a>, such as student loans. If you are a full-time employee and are interested in attending the program as a part-time student, many employers offer tuition assistance if the coursework will assist you in your current position. <\/span><\/p>\n
