Student <a href=\"https:\/\/stars.library.ucf.edu\/tandtthesesdissertations\/\">dissertations<\/a> explore diverse topics ranging from neuronarratives that centralize brain or consciousness in storytelling, to Digital Humanities applications in community college libraries, to the pedagogical use of Instagram in first-year composition courses.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-md-7\">\n<p>Work in the program uses a variety of methods, with students and faculty employing approaches from <a href=\"https:\/\/stars.library.ucf.edu\/etd2020\/1848\/\">critical code studies<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/stars.library.ucf.edu\/etd2020\/1277\/\">digital archives<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/stars.library.ucf.edu\/etd2020\/1440\/\">augmented reality language learning technologies<\/a>. <span data-contrast=\"auto\"> T&amp;T students and faculty also work on projects such as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/chdr.cs.ucf.edu\/elle\/home\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">ELLE: The EndLess LEarner language learning games project<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vlp.cah.ucf.edu\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Veterans Legacy Program to create biographies of veterans buried in national cemeteries<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/chdr.cah.ucf.edu\/print\/index.html\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">People, Religion, Information Networks, and Travel (PRINT), which traces 17th and 18th century communication networks among European religious minorities<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. <\/span>This research ecosystem, supported by the resources of a major research university while maintaining the intimacy of a smaller program, positions graduates to lead in academic, industry, and cultural heritage settings where technological innovation meets humanistic inquiry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"col-md-7\">\n<p>The program&#8217;s commitment to inventing the future of the humanities is displayed by\u00a0 faculty publications and student projects that consistently push boundaries between traditional scholarly methods and emerging digital possibilities.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cah.ucf.edu\/textstech\/our-alumni\/\">Alumni of the Texts and Technology program<\/a> have gone on to such positions as: Assistant Professor of English, Assistant Professor of Digital Media, Director of Course Design and Production, Dean of Distance Learning, and Managing Editor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"jumbotron jumbotron-fluid bg-info text-secondary mb-0\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"container\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\n<div class=\"float-md-right img-fluid d-flex ml-3 mb-3 size-medium wp-image-678 hidden-sm\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/cah.ucf.edu\/textstech\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2025\/07\/FrancineSuttonheadshot.jpg\" alt=\"Photo of Francine\" width=\"200\" height=\"250\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cah.ucf.edu\/textstech\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2025\/07\/FrancineSuttonheadshot.jpg\" alt=\"Photo of Francine\" width=\"200\" height=\"250\" \/><\/noscript><\/div>\n<blockquote class=\"blockquote blockquote-quotation-inverse\"><p>&#8220;Texts and Technology is a unique program, almost like building your own academic adventure based on your research interests.
