You will be asked to select a password when you first are assigned your UCFID. You may change your password at any time.<\/p><h3>NID:<\/h3><p>Your NID is your Network Identification Number\u00a0(2 letters and 6 digits). Your NID is the key to accessing the UCF computer network, the Internet, the library, and a world of cyber information. This number is also generated for you when you become a student at UCF for the first time. The box is checked by default.<\/i><\/b><\/p><p><b>Modes of Instruction:<\/b>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cdl.ucf.edu\/support\/student\/modalities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/cdl.ucf.edu\/support\/student\/modalities\/<\/a><\/p><p>Instructional mode refers to the way your course will be taught, whether this is entirely online through\u00a0Webcourses@UCF\u00a0or face-to-face in a classroom. To find out what instructional mode your course is, first find your course in the UCF Schedule of Classes (see above) and then click on the details of your course. You can access the details by clicking on the \u201cClass\u201d or \u201cSection\u201d.<\/p><ul><li><strong>WEB-BASED:<\/strong>\u00a0Courses are online conducted via flexible, asynchronous Web-based instruction and collaboration using various technologies. Some courses may require minimal campus attendance or in-person\/proctored examinations.<\/li><li><strong>VIDEO:<\/strong>\u00a0Courses are online with extensive use of digital video, which may be supplemented by additional online activity, projects, or exams.<\/li><li><strong>MIXED MODE:<\/strong>\u00a0Courses include both required classroom attendance and online instruction\u202fin a blended format.\u202fIn-person\u202fclassroom activities are more than 20% of the instructional time during the semester.<\/li><li><strong>LIMITED ATTENDANCE:<\/strong>\u00a0Courses are primarily online in a blended format combining required face-to-face and online elements. In-person classroom activities may use up to 20% of the instructional time during the semester.<\/li><li><strong>FACE-TO-FACE:<\/strong>\u00a0Courses have required classroom attendance and meet on a regularly scheduled basis in\u00a0person. During Registration and Add\/Drop, you can only register after your appointment time. If you register for your first course that term during Late Registration and\/or Add\/Drop, you will be charged\u00a0a\u00a0$100 Late Registration Fee.<\/i><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>See\u00a0an\u00a0advisor.\u00a0It is recommended that you meet with an advisor at least once every semester.<\/li><li>Check for Registration Holds. To view possible Holds, log in to myUCF, select Student Self Service, check the Holds section in your Student Center.<\/li><li>Check your Enrollment Appointment Time. To view your Enrollment Appointment, log in to myUCF, select Student Self Service, and see your Enrollment Appointment in your Student Center.<\/li><\/ul><h5>\u00a0Registering for Classes:<\/h5><ol><li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/my.ucf.edu\">https:\/\/my.ucf.edu<\/a>.<\/li><li>Log in\u00a0to myUCF using your PID and password.<\/li><li>On the left-hand menu, click on Student Self Service.<\/li><li>Select Enroll from your Student Center<\/li><li>Select\u00a0the\u00a0Term for which you want to register.<\/li><li>Enter\u00a0Course Subject and Number\u00a0OR\u00a0additional search\u00a0criteria\u00a0to Find Classes.<\/li><li>Click Select Class when desired class is found and is open (green circle).<\/li><li>Verify course information.<ul><li>If\u00a0the\u00a0course has a Related Component (non-credit Lab or Discussion), you will be prompted to select the Component. Then, select Next.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Click Proceed To Step 2 Of 3.<\/li><li>Click Finish Enrolling.<\/li><li>The next screen will show you a status message for each class enrollment that indicated either successful registration (green checkmark) or an error (red X). If an error occurred, you will be directed to view the \u201cerror log\u201d\u00a0to\u00a0see the reason so you can see what kept the registration from being completed successfully (see below).<\/li><li>View and verify your Class Schedule. Select\u00a0the\u00a0My Class Schedule tab to display the\u00a0\u201cList View\u201d\u00a0option or the Weekly Calendar View option.<\/li><\/ol><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"ea-card sp-ea-single\"><h3 class=\"ea-header\"><a class=\"collapsed\" id=\"ea-header-66704\" role=\"button\" data-sptoggle=\"spcollapse\" data-sptarget=\"#collapse66704\" aria-controls=\"collapse66704\" href=\"#\" aria-expanded=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\"><i aria-hidden=\"true\" role=\"presentation\" class=\"ea-expand-icon eap-icon-ea-expand-plus\"><\/i> Registration Error Examples<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"sp-collapse spcollapse spcollapse\" id=\"collapse66704\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"ea-header-66704\"> <div class=\"ea-body\"><p>When registering for a class, there are two possible outcomes; either you are enrolled in the course or you receive an error.
