The program is competitive, and acceptance is based on the quality of the work submitted. Accepted students are required to follow a two-year cohort program as outlined in the UCF Undergraduate Catalog. Students are encouraged to submit a portfolio application when all their prerequisite coursework has been completed or currently enrolled in. All work must be presented <b>clearly, professionally, and in a way that reflects your ability to communicate visually as a designer<\/b>.<\/p><p>Failure to follow the instructions below, or to present your work clearly and professionally, may result in your application being denied.<\/p><h4 class=\"h2 font-condensed text-uppercase text-primary-aw mt-5\">Format<\/h4><h5 class=\"h4 mt-4 heading-underline\">Title Page<\/h5><ul><li>Include your name, UCF ID, and contact information.<\/li><\/ul><h5 class=\"h4 mt-4 heading-underline\">Statement of Interest<\/h5><ul><li>Include a brief written statement indicating why you are interested in pursuing a degree in Graphic Design.<\/li><li>No more than one page of text<\/li><li>Professional tone, double-spaced, 12-point font<\/li><\/ul><h5 class=\"h4 mt-4 heading-underline\">Five Best Projects<\/h5><p>Submit five individual projects you consider your strongest creative work. However, students may submit Studio Art portfolios in subsequent semesters.<\/p><p>UCF strongly encourages students affected by these policies to meet with an Academic Success Coach at <a href=\"mailto:cahsa@ucf.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cahsa@ucf.edu<\/a>. Coaches can help students explore alternative academic pathways and identify opportunities that align with their interests and goals while maintaining a trajectory toward timely graduation. Students who are removed from the program will receive written notification, and those who believe extenuating circumstances impacted their performance may appeal to the SVAD administrative office within 10 business days of the notification.
