Each advisor guides their respective cohort of CAH students, ensuring timely graduation and overall success at the university.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"blockquote blockquote-quotation pt-3 pb-2\"><p><strong>Over the past year, the CAHSA team worked closely with\u00a0 students to ensure progression through their academic programs and continuous enrollment at the university.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Over the past year, the CAHSA team worked closely with students to ensure progression through their academic programs and continuous enrollment at the university. The first-year retention rate for CAH\u2019s 2021-2022 SFFT FTIC cohort was 93.6%, just above the university-wide first-year retention rate of 93%. In addition to ongoing student support, the CAHSA advising team participated in 40 in-person student orientation sessions for new FTIC and transfer admits for the 2022-2023 academic year.\u00a0 These orientation sessions provide students with insights into the college, department\/school and strategies for achieving success at UCF. During these sessions, students meet with the CAHSA advising team to register for courses for their first semesters at UCF.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Two CAHSA employees were honored at the 2023 Founders\u2019 Day Ceremony in April. The Founders\u2019 Day ceremony recognizes the accomplishments of students, faculty and staff for their outstanding research, mentoring, teaching, advising, professional services and librarianship. Among the honorees were Jessica Dorfman, recognized for five years of service, and Kendra Gilbertson, recognized for 10 years of service. Additionally, Maryline Rosario retired from UCF in March after 28 years of service. Maryline served as the office manager in CAHSA for many years and will certainly be missed.
