Philosophy B.A.<\/a><\/p>\n

The B.A. program centers on the principles of knowledge, responsibility and society. It provides students with opportunities to investigate the connections between intellectual pursuits and moral and public virtue.<\/p>\n

Religion B.A.<\/a><\/p>\n

Provides insights into the role of religion in personal, group and societal identity and conflict though multidisciplinary study. Drawing upon history, literary studies, philosophy and the social sciences, graduates develop essential skills for success in any career and are able to think clearly and communicate effectively with diverse individuals and populations.<\/p>\n

Humanities B.A.<\/a><\/p>\n

Grants students solid foundations in the interdisciplinary study of cultures and meanings. Theoretically grounded, culturally diverse and academically relevant, Humanities and Cultural Studies enables students to understand the production of meaning by human cultures and to focus on particular cultural or critical areas for more sustained study and applications.\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Minors<\/h2>\n
\n

Philosophy Minor<\/a><\/p>\n

The Philosophy minor is intended to provide a limited, yet substantive, introduction to philosophical themes related to knowledge, responsibility, and society.<\/p>\n

Religion & Cultural Studies Minor<\/a><\/p>\n

Familiarizes students with religious traditions around the world. Introduce students to critical theories and methods through which to view and analyze the category of religion and its associated concepts, practices, and meanings.<\/p>\n

Humanities & Cultural Studies Minor<\/a><\/p>\n

Offers rigorous study of the artistic and intellectual practices and products of human culture in the contemporary world and in the past, across world cultures.<\/p>\n

Cognitive Sciences Minor<\/a><\/p>\n

Utilizing an interdisciplinary approach to the study of mind, brain, and cognition, the Cognitive Sciences minor is designed to complement any major and boost students who intend to pursue graduate degrees in a variety of fields.\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Interfaith Dialogue<\/a><\/p>\n

In hospitals, businesses, tech and anywhere else where people interact, workers must navigate unfamiliar beliefs and practices. The Interfaith Dialogue certificate focuses on real-life applications of religious knowledge, as well as ways in which students can become leaders in creating tolerant and religiously diverse environments.<\/p>\n

AI, Big Data, and Human Impacts<\/a><\/p>\n

Examines and engages with human experiences of AI and big data technologies. Drawing from interdisciplinary perspectives, courses provide students with critical and creative approaches to the ethics, uses, histories, and broad implications of big data-driven technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence. Deepens students’ understanding of AI and develops skills for its thoughtful implementation.\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Interdisciplinary Studies \u2013 M.A<\/a><\/p>\n

This unique masters program is designed for students who want to develop their own degree program by combining areas of study traditionally associated with a Master of Arts (humanities, social sciences, communication, etc.)\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Cognitive Sciences Grad Certificate<\/a><\/p>\n

Focuses on the interdisciplinary study of cognitive systems and its application to many areas of human endeavor including technology design, communication, training, education and clinical settings.<\/p>\n

Theoretical and Applied Ethics Grad Certificate<\/a><\/p>\n

Applies ethical theories and principles to complex contemporary situations, with focus on topics of ethical inquiry in philosophy, humanities, the arts, sciences, health care, business, education, criminal justice, public administration, public relations, journalism, politics and more.
