This festival is dedicated to developing new works by MFA Playwriting candidates or emerging playwrights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-size-lg\">We are seeking three full-length plays, including Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) pieces, which we will rehearse for two weeks in collaboration with the playwright and subsequently present as workshop productions. In addition, the finalists of Pegasus PlayLab will be entered into consideration to be a fully produced show at UCF.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-size-lg\">The Pegasus PlayLab festival spans six weeks, starting mid-May through the end of June. Selected playwrights are expected to commit to a two-week in-person residency within that time frame.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"jumbotron jumbotron-fluid bg-secondary pb-5 mb-0\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"container\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\n<h2 class=\"h3 font-condensed text-transform-none mb-3\">What We Provide<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>On-Campus Housing<\/li>\n<li>Stipend for Travel<\/li>\n<li>Rehearsal facilities<\/li>\n<li>Venue for Staged Reading<\/li>\n<li>Audience Talkback<\/li>\n<li>Performers<\/li>\n<li>The opportunity to develop your play with industry professionals at one of the largest universities in the country, UCF.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"h3 font-condensed text-transform-none mt-5 mb-3\">Eligibility<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Unpublished or unproduced (has not received a fully-staged production).<\/li>\n<li>Full-length play\/musical: 50-100 pages.<\/li>\n<li>TYA: 20-100 pages.<\/li>\n<li>Musicals: Please provide a sample track for at least one song.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"h3 font-condensed text-transform-none mt-5 mb-3\">Submission Requirements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>An excerpt (20-30 pages) of your play or musical. Submissions should be blind &#8211; please remove personal information (name, address, phone number, etc.) from your script pages.<\/li>\n<li>A brief statement articulating your goals for the two-week workshop. This might include: dramaturgical and structural questions; work on specific moments of dialogue; getting answers about big questions in the script; gaining perspective on specific aspects of the script.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the required questions on the Pegasus PlayLab Google form below:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t<a class=\"btn btn-lg btn-secondary mt-4 mb-5\"\n\t\t\thref=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/9FP95fFPyXWS4Mo67\"\t\t\t\t\t\ttarget=\"_blank\"\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\tApply Online\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\n<p><span class=\"bg-primary font-weight-bold font-size-lg\">All submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. on September 18, 2026. No late submissions will be accepted.<\/span> Playwrights may submit only ONE play, and scripts previously submitted to Pegasus PlayLab in prior years are not eligible.
