In the next month, the College of Arts and Humanities will offer a wide variety of information sessions and open houses related to our various degree programs, from experimental animation and character animation to themed experience and musical theatre. Whether they take place online or in person, all information session and open houses require advance registration.<\/p>\n
Explore the full list of upcoming events:<\/strong><\/p>\n The SVAD Advising team will give an overview of the programs offered in UCF’s School of Visual Arts and Design (SVAD) during this virtual information session. Learn about the newly revised curriculum and portfolio, available resources and important information about the track. This session will be presented by Program Coordinator Matt Dombrowski. A question and answer session will follow the presentation. Learn about the master’s program in Spanish, funding and career opportunities, and meet students, faculty and staff. SVAD drawing and design faculty along with the SVAD advising team will give an overview of the Studio Art Portfolio Review process. They\u2019ll also go into detail about the registration process, course requirements, examples of work to include in your portfolio and what reviewers will be looking for as well as helpful tips for submitting your work. A short Q&A session will follow the presentation. Join UCF School of Performing Arts professor Peter Weishar for an informational discussion about the track in the Theatre MFA program and the new MS degree. Topics during this session include defining themed experience, background on Peter Weishar, track curriculum and application information. A short presentation about the program will be followed by a Q&A. Learn more about the MATESOL (Masters of Arts Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Certificate, meet\u00a0faculty and ask questions. This information session will cover the program, application details and answer questions. This event is hosted as part of the 2021 Virtual Grad Fair Series by UCF’s College of Graduate Studies. History faculty members will offer guidance on how to apply for graduate school, give advice about how to write your personal statement, and make suggestions about what you can do as an undergraduate to prepare for graduate school. Interested in a pursuing a career in musical theatre? The BFA Musical Theatre Virtual Open House is open to all students, family and teachers interested in learning more about auditions, life on campus and financial aid.
