UCF’s chapter of the Kappa Pi International Art Society is an eclectic mix of art, film and photography majors who share a love for the visual arts.

Associate Professor Wanda Raimundi-Ortiz was one of a group of select artists chosen to showcase their work as part of the first global exhibit dedicated to using clothing as a medium of visual art.

This year, the 11-day festival known as UCF Celebrates the Arts is back and bigger than ever before.

“We asked for a ‘little help from our friends’ this year, and our friends delivered,” says Jeff Moore, dean of the College of Arts and Humanities.

Pegasus Professor Stella Sung’s composition “Oceana: Sounds of the Sea” will invite patrons at UCF Celebrates the Arts into a story they will never forget.

The annual festival brings musicians, theater practitioners and visual artists from the UCF campus to the Central Florida community in an array of offerings including jazz, dance, musical theater, opera, symphony, bands, visual arts, talks, choirs, family events and more.

Each year College of Central Florida showcases the talent of its Visual Arts and Digital Media students at the Webber Gallery in Ocala, Florida.

Shrek and friends will be coming to a swamp near you as part of UCF Celebrates the Arts, April 14-16 at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Started in 2015, UCF Celebrates the Arts continues to grow with this year’s festival. Here, representing various artistic genres, are five key programs at the festival to check out.
