This month, seven of SVAD Professor Scott F. Hall’s sculptural musical instrument designs were shown in FEEDback, a curated group exhibition in the Italian Pavilion of the Venice Biennale. For 120 years, the Biennale has been one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the world, today drawing an audience of over 500,000. Since 1980 and again in 2021, the Biennale has featured architecture.

UCF animation alumni worked behind the scenes on some of the biggest movies from the last decade.

Rudy McDaniel ’99,’01MA,’03,’04PhD, director of the School of Visual Arts and Design for five years, has been reappointed as director.

In the 2020-2021 academic year, the UCF Art Gallery hosted exhibitions and programming both in person and online that examined cultural and social contexts while supporting contemporary art practices.

Animation Career Review has ranked the UCF School of Visual Arts and Design No. 2 among the nation’s top public animation schools and colleges in 2021.
