The program includes a strong emphasis on community education and involvement. UCF offers both a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cah.ucf.edu\/languages\/program\/latin-american-studies\/\">bachelor&#8217;s degree<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cah.ucf.edu\/languages\/program\/las-minor\/\">interdisciplinary minor<\/a><\/strong> in Latin American, Caribbean and Latinx Studies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">Our\u00a0mission is to provide undergraduate students with the necessary tools and knowledge to understand and work with Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx populations in in the United States, Latin America, and beyond. Students gain an extensive understanding, both in depth and breadth, of the Americas in terms of their historical, cultural, social, economic, and political dimensions.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<section id=\"programs\" class=\"ucf-section ucf-section-las-programs auto-section\" America<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We have partnered with several institutions in Latin America and Europe to provide short-term programs on their campus. \u00a0Partner institutions include\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usil.edu.pe\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of San Ignacio de Loyola<\/a> in Peru, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uady.mx\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University Aut\u00f3noma de la Yucatan<\/a> in Mexico, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pucsp.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Sao Paulo<\/a>, and
