The National Cemetery Administration\u2019s (NCA) Veterans Legacy Program (VLP) is a Department of Veterans Affairs-funded project that creates innovative pedagogical tools for K-12 students who learn via the stories and experiences of Veterans. Interns will assist the team with planning the history harvest, conducting interviews, digitizing documents and artifacts, and post-history harvest processing. Interns may also assist in the construction of our interactive virtual tours and podcasts. Interns will gain professional experience in various aspects of historians\u2019 and public historians\u2019 responsibilities, including project management, public engagement, historical writing, oral history processing, metadata, research, and technical writing. Interns should be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enrolled and pursuing a degree in History, Public History, or an allied field at UCF.<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and ready to learn new skills.<\/li>\n<li>Computer fluent, including at a minimum Microsoft Office.<\/li>\n<li>Able to work independently and with a team.<\/li>\n<li>Able to problem-solve and conduct independent research.<\/li>\n<li>Able to participate actively at in-person, weekly meetings on campus and travel off campus to conduct research and participate in events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Limited number of spaces\/internships available.
