It prepares students for both academic and non-academic careers by encouraging them to make connections among texts (critical, theoretical, scholarly, and creative), to engage in research and critical thinking at an advanced level, and to write and present scholarship of merit and distinction.<\/p>\n<p>Many courses in the program are interdisciplinary, integrating literature with the visual arts, film, music, history, and politics. The new curriculum now includes courses like Teaching College Literature, as well as a Capstone Course to help students hone their teaching and academic writing skills to prepare for competitive job markets.<\/p>\n<p>The graduate faculty in Literary, Cultural and Textual Studies publish and teach in a wide range of areas\u2014from medieval romance to digital media, from early American captivity narratives to contemporary experimental fiction\u2014and from a variety of theoretical perspectives.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"jumbotron jumbotron-fluid bg-primary-lightest mt-5 pt-4 pb-1\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"container\"\n\t\t\t\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\n<h2 id=\"careers\" class=\"text-uppercase font-condensed\">Careers<\/h2>\n<p>Use this tool to find real-time job and salary information.
