CREATE offers a variety of A+STEM programming including extended classroom experiences and after school programming. This year the extended classroom experience was focused on learning all about Pompeii. We studied and painted erupting volcanoes, became archaeologists, and learned about Roman myths all to culminate in the creation of buon frescos that will be displayed at The Orlando Science Center starting October 26th as part of the international Pompeii: The Immortal City exhibition. Some of the lessons are available online in a free, public online A+STEM course called STEM Art Making with Miss A; enrollment and instruction links are provided below, The Pompeii related lessons were also featured in the Orlando Science Center Blog.
