{"id":60,"date":"2018-05-16T16:11:39","date_gmt":"2018-05-16T16:11:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/devcahsa.cah.ucf.edu\/?page_id=60"},"modified":"2025-03-17T14:12:52","modified_gmt":"2025-03-17T14:12:52","slug":"readmission","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cah.ucf.edu\/cahsa\/prospective-students\/readmission\/","title":{"rendered":"Readmission"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"card card-inverse mb-5\">\n<div class=\"card-block\">\n<p class=\"h4 text-primary\">You may apply for readmission to UCF if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You have not attended UCF for two consecutive semesters (Spring and Fall); or<\/li>\n<li>If you have been academically suspended; or<\/li>\n<li>If you previously earned a baccalaureate degree at UCF and wish to pursue a 2nd bachelor\u2019s degree.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"h4 text-primary\">Graduate students note:<\/p>\n<p>If you previously earned a baccalaureate degree at UCF and are currently pursuing a graduate degree or you wish to enroll in a &#8220;non-degree status&#8221;, you must contact the Office of Graduate Studies (407-823-2766) for information on enrolling as a post-baccalaureate student.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"font-slab-serif\">Online readmission application instructions<\/h3>\n<p>Only those students seeking a second-degree immediately upon graduation, and students applying for Academic Amnesty, may request a paper Readmission Application.<\/p>\n<p>Please email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:registrar@ucf.edu\">registrar@ucf.edu<\/a> with the subject line &#8220;Request for Readmission Application&#8221;. All others must apply online; no other paper Readmission Application will be accepted.<\/p>\n<p>Please follow the process below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log on to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/my.ucf.edu\/\">myUCF<\/a>\u00a0using your student ID and password<\/li>\n<li>Click on\u00a0<strong>Student Self Service<\/strong>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<strong>Student Center<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Once on the\u00a0<strong>Student Center<\/strong>\u00a0page, go to the\u00a0<em>Other Academic&#8230;<\/em>\u00a0dropdown menu and scroll down to\u00a0<strong>Readmission Application<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Read\u00a0<strong>all<\/strong>\u00a0instructions on the form. Please note: if you were previously disqualified, you will need to include a personal statement indicating the reason for your previous academic difficulties, and your\u00a0<strong>specific<\/strong>\u00a0plans for ensuring academic success in future semesters.<\/li>\n<li>If you have attended another institution since your last enrollment, you must submit <strong>all<\/strong>\u00a0official transcripts. Failure to do so may delay your ability to register for classes.<\/li>\n<li>After submitting the online application, your application status can be found at:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/my.ucf.edu\/\">https:\/\/my.ucf.edu<\/a>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<strong>Student Self Service<\/strong>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<strong>Student Center<\/strong>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<em>Other Academic&#8230;<\/em>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<strong>Readmission Application Status<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You must submit the &#8220;Application for Undergraduate Readmission&#8221; to the Registrar\u2019s Office (Millican Hall 161) by the deadline for each term published within the current Undergraduate Catalog.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"my-4\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"font-slab-serif\">Who is <u>not eligible<\/u> for readmission to UCF?<\/h3>\n<p>Students who are disqualified with a grade point deficiency of thirty grade points or greater or who have been excluded are not eligible for readmission to the University. For readmission purposes only, the term &#8220;grade point deficiency&#8221; is defined as the number of UCF credit hours earned with a &#8220;B&#8221; (3.0 GPA) grade that a student requires to raise his or her UCF cumulative grade point average to 2.0.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"my-4\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"font-slab-serif\">Readmission after &#8220;disqualification&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>Students seeking to be readmitted into a major within the College of Arts and Humanities after\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cah.ucf.edu\/cahsa\/current-students\/academic-standing\/disqualified\/\">disqualification<\/a>\u00a0must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sit out for at least two semesters. Requests for immediate readmission after disqualification or exclusion will not be supported.<\/li>\n<li>Submit an &#8220;Application for Undergraduate Readmission&#8221; from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/registrar.ucf.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Registrar\u2019s website<\/a>\u00a0or in person (MH 161).<\/li>\n<li>Contact the College of Arts &amp; Humanities immediately when you receive a letter from the Registrar\u2019s Office directing you to the college. College of Arts and Humanities Student Advising is located in Trevor Colbourn Hall (TCH) 159.\u00a0<acronym title=\"College of Arts and Humanities Student Advising\">CAHSA<\/acronym>\u00a0can also be reached by phone at (407) 823-3312 or by email at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:cahsa@ucf.edu\">cahsa@ucf.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr class=\"my-4\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"font-slab-serif\">Plan of study for first two semesters following readmission<\/h3>\n<p>Students who are readmitted after suspension will be limited to a maximum of two courses per semester until they are no longer on probation.
